Meet Danny,
NSM365’s Bergen Owner
Danny Matos is a dad on a mission to develop kid’s confidence through a joy for movement. As a dedicated Physical Education and Health teacher and an Adjunct Professor, he has a passion for creating engaging, inclusive, and personalized learning environments. Danny brings a unique blend of skills to his role, combining the attributes of an entertainer, statistician, analyst, motivator, instructor, facilitator, and artist. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of tailoring instruction to meet individual child’s needs and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Danny is particularly interested in environments that value innovation and curriculum development all with the ultimate goal of building lasting relationships.
As an innovative educator, he excels in developing activities that align with academic standards while remaining engaging and developmentally appropriate for students from Pre-K to High School. He uses various teaching strategies, and whether it’s through gamification and technology, visualization, or playful humor, he strives to keep it relevant to the person in front of him. In addition to being an educator, Danny is equally committed to professional growth and has completed a post-master’s program in Educational Administration from Molloy University.
As a fun fact, Danny loves to run and write. He is a published author of a children’s book as well as a middle grade novel entitled SWERVE, which is about a high school senior who uses his love for professional wrestling as a way to navigate his life’s journey through family dynamics and self-awareness. Wrestlemania is his Super Bowl, and he secretly wants to one day find his way into a wrestling ring.
